This M&E Data Systems Training equips participants from humanitarian organizations with practical skills in monitoring, evaluation, and data management. The program focuses on advanced M&E methods tailored to the humanitarian sector, helping professionals improve accountability, assess program impact, and support evidence-based decisions in crisis response and development contexts

• M&E in the project lifecycle and its complementary roles.

Module 3: M&E Frameworks in Humanitarian Programs

• Conceptual Frameworks.
• Results Frameworks.
• Logical Framework Analysis (LFA).
• Log Frame–Design of humanitarian projects using Log Frame.

Module 4: M&E Humanitarian Program Indicators

• Selection and metrics of indicators.
• Linking indicators to results and creating an indicator matrix.
• Tracking and monitoring indicators over time.

Module 5: M&E Plans in Humanitarian Programs

• The significance of an M&E plan and its components.
• Documenting and using an M&E system within the M&E plan.

Module 6: Data Management for M&E in Humanitarian  Programs

• Data sources: Information systems, surveys, participatory assessments.
• Data collection methods and tools for humanitarian programs.
• Data analysis for monitoring and evaluating humanitarian programs.

Module 7: Gender Perspective in M&E for Humanitarian  Programs

• Importance of gender in M&E.
• Integrating gender into program logic.
• Setting gender-sensitive indicators.
• Collecting gender-disaggregated data.
• Analyzing M&E data from a gender perspective.
• Appraisal of projects from a gender perspective.

Module 8: Performance Evaluation of Humanitarian  Programs

• Components of evaluations: Implementation and process evaluations.
• Evaluation designs: Experimental, quasi-experimental, and non-experimental methods.

Module 9: M&E Results Use and Dissemination

• Using M&E results to improve humanitarian programs.
• Lessons learned and best practices in M&E.
• Reporting and communicating M&E results to stakeholders.

Delivery Method

The program is delivered through practical activities, theory, group work, and case studies. Training manuals and additional reference materials are provided.
