About the Program
This program offers a comprehensive understanding of sustainable water practices, emphasizing the impact of climate change on water availability, quality, and distribution. Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) approach has been accepted internationally as the way forward for efficient, equitable and sustainable development and management of the world’s limited water resources and for coping with conflicting demands. This program aims to offer a broad-based coverage of the principles and practices of integrated water resources management (IWRM).
Program Objectives
- Explore what the organization needs to become drivers of sustainable IWRM.
- Comprehensive various areas of knowledge and understanding that will be useful as they propose, design, implement and monitor the progress of IWRM processes and later monitor the success of those plans.
- Grasp the History of Paradigm Shift in IWRM.
Target Audience
This program is intended for various actors in the Agriculture Extension (Agricultural extension officers, senior agricultural officials, and policy makers) working with communities, in governments, funding agencies, Research organizations and non-government organizations among others for Agriculture support activities and other development programmes.

- Global situation of River Infrastructures Maintenance & Management.
- History of Paradigm Shift in Infrastructures Maintenance and Management
Delivery Method
This program is taught through a mix of practical activities, theory, group work and case studies. Training manuals and additional reference materials are provided to the participants.
