About the Program

The Project Audit and Evaluation Training is designed to equip internal auditors with professional skills to manage internal audit assignments more effectively and efficiently. The program delivers essential knowledge, tools and techniques needed to conduct audits within project environments while aligning audit activities with project management standards.

Participants will learn why auditing projects fail, identify critical success factors, and understand project management process groups and the Project Management Life Cycle. The training covers project management best practices, the full scope of internal audit activities, and how to develop scope, schedule and budget baselines. Auditors will also learn how to estimate required resources, determine audit budgets, and establish quality requirements for controlling and assessing audit performance.

Additional focus areas include conducting risk-based audit planning, managing communications and outsourced services, and implementing strategies to address changes affecting scope, schedule or budget. The program also trains participants on how to monitor and control audit activities to ensure execution within approved baselines.

This training is available through in-person workshops, virtual instructor-led sessions and tailored in-house delivery based on organizational needs. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion with an option for assessment-based certification for advanced recognition.

12. To manage internal auditing’s communications and outsourced services and develop actions to mitigate changes to the baselines
13. To monitor and control the internal auditing activities to ensure execution within approved baselines
