From 23rd to 27th June 2025, Cynet East Africa hosted an intensive 5-day SQL for Data Analysts training in Nakuru, Kenya. This program was designed to equip professionals with hands-on skills in Structured Query Language (SQL), enabling them to manage, analyze, and interpret data effectively across diverse business environments.
What the Program Covered
Delivered through 14 structured modules, the training covered:
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Filtering, joining, and aggregating datasets
- Implementing subqueries and Common Table Expressions (CTEs)
- Troubleshooting query errors and improving performance
- Integrating SQL with real-world data systems and sources
Participants also explored advanced SQL features used in reporting, automation, and analytics across finance, marketing, operations, and IT domains.
Training Methodology
Sessions were fully in-person, combining instructor-led lectures with hands-on exercises, group discussions, and real-case simulations. Each participant worked with tools such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, applying techniques to solve practical challenges. Course materials and manuals were provided to reinforce learning.
