About the Program

Although there are numerous M&E systems for climate change adaptation in place at the project, national, and  international levels, the area is still relatively new and is  expanding quickly. The M&E for climate change program provides an overview  of the basic principles and methodologies for program  monitoring and evaluation with emphasis on practical  application for climate change adaptation researchers and  practitioners.

Program Objectives

By the end of this program, the participants will be able to:

• Understand monitoring and evaluation (M&E) for climate  change adaptation programs.
• Design climate change adaptation projects using a logical  framework analysis approach.
• Define different climate change adaptation indicators.
• Track performance indicators over the life of the project.
• Evaluate climate change adaptation programs against  objectives and targets.
• Understand gender role in M&E in climate change  adaptation programs.
• Conduct impact evaluations of climate change  adaptation program.

Delivery Method

This program is taught through a mix of practical activities, theory, group work and case studies. Training manuals and additional reference materials are provided to the participants.
