About the Program

The Census and Survey Processing System (CSPro) is a public domain software package used by organizations and for entering, editing, tabulating, and disseminating census and survey data.  This course will focus on building CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) applications for enumeration using Android tablets and Smartphones. The participants will learn about ways to efficiently conduct surveys using mobile devices and the potential of the programs to streamline the creation of powerful and dynamic applications as well as various ways of automating data processing tasks.

Module 4: Create the Data Entry Forms.

• Step 1: Place ID and housing items on form.
• Step 2: Add text and boxes.
• Step 3: Generate forms automatically.

Module 5: Enter Data.

• Step 1: Run the data entry application.
• Step 2: Add a case.
• Step 3: Finish adding a case.

Module 6: Add Edits to the Data Entry Application.

• Step 1: Write logic for the edit.

Delivery Method

This program is taught through a mix of practical activities, theory, group work and case studies. Training manuals and additional reference materials are provided to the participants.
